:] asked:
My friend said her sister goes to a back doctor because she has back problems, and that this back doctor said her sister wasn’t done growing because the plates in her back weren’t completely latched together or something. So if I go to a chiropractor can he/she feel around my back and tell if my plates are closed? Thanks!

no, the chiropractor, just like a doctor, has to take xrays to be able to see if the boney plates are matured or still growing. You cannot just feel around and find this out.
No, I would go to your doctor for these kinds of questions. I don’t believe in chiropractors but if you feel good about them, go to and find a chiropractor near you.
